March 9, 2022 Town Board Meeting

*An agenda was not posted to the town website for this meeting, prior to the meeting, as it has customarily been done. I have not been able to obtain draft minutes of meetings within 2 weeks of any meeting this year - it often taking over a month for access. Public documents that were reviewed at this, and previous meetings in 2022, including copies of the resolutions, I have also not been able to obtain despite multiple requests. I have been unable to get them emailed or physical copies from the town building. It would be optimal to post those public documents here so that we can all easily access them and be informed. It is worth noting that Open Meeting Law requires such information to be available to the public at least 24 hours PRIOR to a meeting. To learn about Open Meeting Law and what we should be able to see, read this. I encourage you to reach out to the Town Supervisor, Board Members and Town Clerk to have better time management and preparedness and to get in compliance with Open Meeting Law.
*Update: Only after Jewett residents having to hiring a lawyer were we finally able to receive some limited documentation. On April 12th, a copy of resolution #10 was obtained - a month after this resolution was passed. Minutes for this meeting were not furnished upon request. The town did not post the minutes publicly on the website for this meeting until April 18th. This is an ongoing issue. If you would like more information, please reach out.
